The University of Texas at Austin, with its main campus no more than a mile away from the State Capitol of Texas, is the famous research university at the heart of Texas. The UT Austin campus sits on 3.4 square kilometers of land inclusive of the main campus and the research center campus in North Austin housing the J. J. Pickle Research. To get there, Capitol Metro provides regular bus transport, both for students and tourists in-campus and all around Austin.
