Whereas this statement is partially true since there is really a slump in the recruitment of conventional jobs but on the other hand with the advancement of technologies new vistas have opened before the youths to try their luck in the competitive job market. And in order to make them even more acceptable and presentable in front of their recruiters it is very important that they plan their future accordingly. There are numerous colleges and institutions now a day offering myriad of courses, what is important is to choose judiciously from them. Most of these institutions offer both under graduate as well as post graduate courses. So anyone can enroll in any of these institutions just after passing their higher secondary exam.
Shaping future with career oriented courses -
Since this is supposedly the age of technology so technology and issues relating to its working and management are in demand of new and fresh minds. These institutions and colleges offering courses like MBA Aviation Management, MBA International Business, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computational Fluid etc.
Previously these institutions use to offer only engineering courses but now with the growing demand of managerial jobs they have also started offering management courses and are giving tight competition to B- schools which specialize only in imparting of management education. As for example MBA Aviation Management and MBA International Business course are now offered in many institutions which previously use to offer only engineering courses. Now most of these institutions instead of limiting their specialization within one field like either engineering or management are trying to bridge the gap between them by widening their field of specialization, developing into career building institutions thus giving the students more options to choose from.
Eligibility criteria, Duration of the courses and other necessary details –
Most of these courses can be opted just after the completion of the higher secondary education. In most cases the eligibility criteria of these courses is quite low keeping in mind the interest of the candidates. In most cases it is seen that the eligibility criteria for applying to their under graduate courses is 55% marks in Higher Secondary education. Then the applicant is required to pass an entrance exam and group discussion session. However those candidates opting for management courses with a valid CAT or GMAT score card are exempted from taking the entrance exam if they can fulfill the marks criteria, which again varies from one institute to another.
In case of post graduate courses in most cases the candidates apart from securing 55% marks in their higher secondary education is also required to get at least 50 – 60% marks, this range may widen according to the requirements and preference of the institutions and as per the requirement of the subject in which the student is seeking specialization. Most of the under graduate courses are of 4 years duration and the post graduate courses generally extend for one or two year. The fee structure is dependent on the subject that one is about to specialization and the institution in which one is taking admission.
